Following the failed relaunch of the Death Egg, Sonic is falling back to Angel Island, speeding towards a mushroom covered forest, giving him a much-needed moment to collect his thoughts; he can’t tell if it’s fear or excitement that’s keeping him going. Sonic’s feeling the burn of this constant pursuit; no matter how much he chases him, something else gets in his way, leaving him just out of reach. Just when it seems like it’s getting to be too much, he reminds himself of the promises he made. He has a job to do, and he intends to see it through. The only problem is… what’s he gonna do when Eggman can’t run anymore?
